Vikrant Rona is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language action-adventure thriller film written and directed by Anup Bhandari. It stars Sudeep as the titular character alongside Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film was released theatrically worldwide on 28 July 2022. In the village of Kamarottu, in Karnataka, a police officer and 16 children are murdered under mysterious circumstances. Inspector Vikrant Rona (Sudeep) is assigned the case and how he unmasks the cause and murderer forms the plot.

The film received mixed reviews from the critics and audience, alike. The story, performances, cinematography, background score, action sequences, production values, VFX and CGI, and the suspense factor were highly praised. However, the screenplay, direction, and editing were criticized.

The Gray Man is a 2022 American action thriller film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay the latter co-wrote with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Mark Greaney. The film stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Regé-Jean Page, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard, and Billy Bob Thornton. Produced by the Russo brothers' company, AGBO, the film is intended to start a franchise based upon Greaney's Gray Man novels.

An adaption of Greaney's novel was originally announced in 2011, with James Gray set to direct Brad Pitt, and later Charlize Theron in a gender-swapped role, though neither version ever came to fruition. The property lingered in development hell until July 2020, when it was announced the Russo brothers would direct, with both Gosling and Evans attached to star. Filming began in Los Angeles in March 2021, before wrapping in Prague that July. With a production budget of $200 million, it is among the most expensive films made by Netflix.

The Gray Man began a limited theatrical release on July 15, 2022 followed by its digital release on Netflix on July 22. It received mixed reviews from critics with praise for the ensemble cast, but criticism toward the "clichéd script and breakneck pacing.

Raja The Great is a 2017 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Dil Raju on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The film began its production began in April 2017 with filming taking place in Hyderabad and Darjeeling. Released worldwide on 18 October 2017, the film received mixed reviews from critics and audience with praise towards the cast performances, action sequences and entertainment value but criticism for writing and uneven tone. It was a commercial success grossing more than ₹50 crore, becoming the highest-grossing film in Teja's career.

Story line: The film is inspired by true events. An insightful story about the adverse effects of urbanization, man-animal conflict and poverty leading to a bizarre practice in a village that resides on the edge of a forest. One fine day, he enters the forests and waits for his death. What follows next is a series of unprecedented and interesting events. It takes great courage to sacrifice one’s life to save the family and the film revolves around this heroism with a focus on the man and nature conflict.
